SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the high range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The support place created for intervention experiences a high inflow of sassa potential beneficiaries, that makes sassa status it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and raise entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
